Body 11 – Contact Info


Description

This section is used to create an About page or section. It includes a embedded Google map or building image, a headline and contact information.

Fields and Character Limits

Map Embed Code

  • Help Text: Enter the map embed code. To create a map embed code, go to Google Maps  > Search a specific location > Select Share > Select Embed map > Copy HTML > Paste in Map Embed Code field.

Building Image

  • Limits: 3MB, 1140 x 814 pixels, png jpg jpeg.
  • Help Text: Upload a high-resolution image of your building. Move white plus icon to select your preferred focal point for automatic image cropping. See Images for guidance and best practices.
    • One file only
    • 3 MB limit
    • Allowed types: png jpg jpeg
    • Images must be larger than 1140x814px

Alternative text*

  • Help text: See Alternative Text for info about writing effective alternative text.

Get Directions URL

  • Help Text: Enter URL for directions to a specific location. To create a directions link, go to Google Maps > Search a specific location > Select Send a link > Copy the Link to share > Paste in Get Directions URL field.

Headline*

  • Character Limits: None.
  • Help Text: Enter the name of the unit or department. This field renders as an <h2>. See Headers for guidelines and best practices for headlines and sub-headlines.

Label (email)

  • Help Text: Optional field to add an email label (e.g., Email:) that precedes email address.

Email

Label (phone/fax)

  • Help Text: Optional field to add phone/fax label (e.g., Phone:, Fax:)

Phone/Fax

  • Help Text: Enter a phone or fax number.

Extension

  • Help Text: Optional field for a phone extension.

School

  • Help Text: Optional field for school name.

University/Campus

  • Help Text: Optional field for university/campus name.

Building

  • Help Text: Enter the name of the building.

Room

  • Help Text: Enter the room number (e.g., Room 123).

Street Address

  • Help Text: Enter the street address (e.g., 1234 Jayhawk Boulevard).

City

  • Help Text: Enter the city name.

State

  • Help Text: Select the state name.

Zip

Help Text: Enter the zip code.

Using on a cloneable Contact Template

  1. Locate Body 11 - Contact Info in the Body area
  2. Select Edit
  3. Replace the placeholder Map Embed Code if you wish to use a map

  4. If you want to use an image of your building by selecting the Browse button to upload from your computer
  5. Set the focal point by moving white plus icon to select your preferred focal point for automatic image cropping

  6. Enter the Alternative text
  7. Replace or remove the other placeholder text
  8. Select Save at the bottom left of the page

Adding to a new Content Page

  1. In the Body area, select Add Body Section
  2. Select Body 11 – Contact Info, select Add

  3. Enter the Map Embed Code or

  4. Add an image select the Browse button to upload from your computer

  6. Enter the Alternative text
  7. Enter the Get Directions URL, Headline, Label (email),  Email, Label (phone/fax), Phone/Fax, Extension, School, University/Campus, Building, Room, Street Address, City, State and Zip
  8. Select either Save as Draft or Published with the drop-down menu
  9. Select Save at the bottom left of the form

Guidelines and Best Practices

  • The image field should only be used for a high-quality, high-resolution image of the building listed in the contact information.

Removing a Section

To permanently remove a section from a page:

  1. Select the vertical ellipsis to the right of the Edit button at the top-right of your section, select Remove
